Courses by Department of Basic Level and Secondary Level Education
Department of Basic Level and Secondary Level Education prepares the students for Basic Level Examination and Secondary Level certificate Examination conducted by the National Examination Board of Nepal. Rigorous course of instruction are imparted to the students and all possible efforts are made to help them achieve qualitative educational and professional standards so that they can compete successfully in the present competition-oriented world.
Even though the MOECDC syllablus is used as a guideline, instruction is also imparted in Islamiat, Elementary Urdu, Physical Education, Arabic Literature and Grammers.
Admission in Department of Basic Level and Secondary Level Education is given on the basis of an Entrance Test and qualifications . Candidates seeking admission in Standard IX & XI in Jamia will have to appear for a written test in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and General Knowledge.
Students of Jamia are required to observe specified rules of discipline. If any student is found guilty he/she shall be liable to fine/suspension or rustication.
It is mandatory for a student to have an aggregate of 75% attendance to be eligible to appear in the annual examinations.
ACADEMIC STREAMS
The students are offered the following subjects
(a) Ibtidaaiyah Level or Basic Level (Class I to Class VIII)
For Basic Level, the following subjects will be taught in classes I to V.

- 3. Mathematics
- 4. Urdu
- 5. Serophero (Moral Science/Social Studies)
- 6. Quraan/Arabic
- 7. Deeniyat
For Basic Level, the following subjects will be taught in classes VI to VIII.
- 1. Nepali

- 3. Mathematics
- 4. Science
- 5. Quraan
- 6. Hadeeth
- 7. Deeniyat/ Islamic Jurisprudance
- 8. Arabic Literature and Arabic Grammer
(b) Mutawassita Level or Secondary Level Certificate (X)
For secondary School Certificate under the 10+2 system, the following subjects will be taught in classes IX and X.
- 1. English
- 2. Mathematics
- 3. Science
- 4. Quraan
- 5. Hadeeth
- 6. Islamic Jurisprudance
- 7. Arabic Literature
- 8. Arabic Grammer
- 9. Translation and Essay Writing
(c) Sanwiyya Level or Secondary Level Certificate (XII)
Under the 10+2 scheme, students are taught optional subjects along with the compulsory subjects. In order to qualify for admission in class XI, the candidate should have passed the Secondary School Certificate/ High School (Matric) Certificate Examination from a recognized school. For non-Urdu medium students, it is compulsory to pass the Elementary Urdu Exam. The compulsory subjects and group-wise optional subjects are as follows:

Note: Students are advised to see eligibility conditions of Science subjects of higher courses in the University before selecting subjects from Group B.
